This includes: liaising with department heads and senior personnel in assigned area to obtain departmental contributions; compiling data and preparing necessary charts to ensure all forecasts and expenditure profiles are captured in the Business Plan; assisting in the preparation of the write-ups on reservoir, production, drilling, engineering and other related issues for inclusion in the Plan document; and providing guidance and support to departments regarding Business Plan, budgets, work programs, business improvement, expenditure forecasts and key issues. • Participates in the Divisional annual self-audits program, liaises with other departments to set the audit plan, including follow up of audit execution and reporting as planned • Takes an active role in the preparation of the Field Facilities Plan for assigned area in close coordination with other departments to ensure that all oil, water and gas production / injection activities are fully addressed and duly covered. This includes: identifying objectives and activities, collecting, collating and analyzing pertinent data, liaising with respective development divisions to obtain their input, ensuring consistency with set production / injection targets and consolidating into a draft Master Plan; discussing with supervisor and departmental managers concerned and finalizes accordingly; providing assistance in the quarterly reviews and updates to reflect changes in Divisional Objectives / Targets and develops divisional plans to ensure the area’s asset integrity is maintained at all times and clearly reflected in the Plan document. • Participates in and provides active support to supervisor to conduct technical / economical planning studies and prepare short and long term working programs in line with the Division’s Business & Master plans, Objectives and Company guidelines in coordination with other departments, EMPD and PDD, as required. This includes studies on optimizing planning activities with respect to oil, water and gas production / injection, Drilling Schedules and Workover programs, resource utilization and manpower planning to identify gaps and to ensure optimum levels are maintained to achieve divisional targets. Utilizes available software and planning tools for data gathering, analysis and projection including 3MS, PIES, IFS, IDSS, DWS to facilitate planning, performance reporting and benchmarking. • Screens work programs, budgets and expenditure forecasts to ensure consistency with Shareholder guidelines, Business Plan and approved budgets. • Compiles the yearly divisional performance indicators and associated scorecards as directed by supervisor. Monitors the overall divisional performance and work progress against Business Plan targets and other performance measures and prepares monthly performance reports for discussion with supervisors / department managers to ensure that performance is maintained above set targets. Follows up on implementation of supervisors / management recommendations on performance enhancement and work practices improvements to remedy shortfalls in meeting set targets, without compromising the integrity of the assets / production targets. • Prepares the drafts of all activity reports within assigned Division including the preparation / compilation of the divisional weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly planning reports covering key activities in oil production, water / gas injection, gas production, HSE, contracts, cost control, etc. Highlights areas where deviations are noted which may impact divisional targets, discusses with supervisor to prepare necessary justifications to management for such deviations and follows up on corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved as per original plan. Prepares and discusses with supervisor the Division’s contributions to the monthly corporate activity report and the quarterly performance reviews including divisional performance measures. This includes obtaining inputs from other departments, consolidating information in agreed format, drafting report for review by concerned department heads and subsequent approval of the Division Manager. Liaises with Corporate Planning to clarify any queries. • Participates actively in the preparation and compilation of data in the yearly budget preparation exercise. Includes assisting supervisor in preparing drafts and reviewing, scrutinizing and routing all proposals for expenditures (FPs & LVBRs) and any other financial / budget proposal before further processing for management approval. • Prepares the yearly divisional self-audit plan. Includes liaising with department managers to identify audit titles, objectives, scope, and teams. Ensures the Audit Plan is incorporated in the Division’s KPIs. Includes monitoring the implementation of the plan, aimed at continued business improvements in assigned Division. Liaises with departmental focal points to enter all recommendations in the Audit Tracking System to ensure proper follow up on implementation of approved recommendations. Compiles all audit reports and evaluates gains to the business from such activities and disseminates results through the organization to maximize benefits. • Provides active assistance in the preparation and development of the Division’s Information Technology plans covering hardware and software requirements. Includes incorporating the IT plan in the Division’s Business Plan. • Prepares the monthly statistics for Population at Risk in liaison with other Divisions which has population on site for risk assessment. • Prepares presentations and supporting papers, as directed by supervisor, for management meetings and ISH presentations ensuring that all relevant issues are addressed. • Participates in the training and development of UAE national employees assigned to his department. Includes assessing employees’ training and development needs, directing the preparation of structured development programs, monitoring and reporting on progress and counseling employees as required. • Knows the Company Health, Safety and Environment Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility and ensures that they are effectively implemented in his domain. Ensures, by appropriate monitoring and review, that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experience/(Key Competencies): 3 years Diploma in a relevant discipline, such as Business Management. 4 years business analysis varied experience in oil / gas production operations. Very good knowledge of operational requirements, company objectives, and policies. Good knowledge of advanced planning tools & Techniques, polices, procedures and business practices. Very good knowledge of English. Analytical ability and a structured approach to resolving business problems. Good level of communication skills
