Would you like to join our hospital unit for diagnosis and research stressed on integrated diagnostics, molecular pathology inclusive. The latter is equipped with a laser dissection microscope (LDM) and genetic analyses (GA). PhD students will be linked to the unit. We are looking for the best specialists to join our modern diagnostic teams particularly within following cancer categories: breast cancer lung cancer prostate cancer bladder cancer colorectal cancer as well as a team for metastasis reporting The department also operates: a gynaecological unit skin cancer unit an ear, nose and throat unit We also aim at developing digital pathology. We have at our disposal a very modern video conference room. The department: handles assignments in the field of pathological anatomy for the hospitals in this part of the Region deals with the programme for cervical cancer checks is sub-specialised has a well-functioning laboratory performs liquid-based cytology, including immunocytochemistry runs a molecular pathology laboratory, which performs routine diagnostic RNA and DNA tests takes on research assignments as an obligation presents excellent opportunities for research The staff of the department includes: one clinic manager four consultants – to be expanded through the addition of a further 1–2 specialists – one resident and one first-year resident. The histo/cyto laboratory also has: 14.5 bioanalyst positions,1 departmental bioanalyst,1 student bioanalyst. The department handles all assignments in the field of basic pathology.
We request our applicants to mention their areas of interest – redistribution of assignments may be possible. We offer this position to candidates who can develop good relationship and strong interaction with the other staff and the clinical departments at the hospital. Wages in Denmark are high and employment conditions are based on the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Working hours generally do not exceed 37 hours per week. The basic salary for a Danish physician is DKK 712.000 per annum in addition to pension contributions and the possibility of negotiation of amendments. Further education with the possibility to visit necessary congresses and courses is also offered. The hospital is placed in a very nice city area close to the sea.
