- Direct all activities of Housekeeping Department and Office Coordinator to ensure communication and follow-up on any problems and guest requests. - Take phone calls and radio requests and direct room attendants and housemen to complete the required tasks - Keep record of all lost and found items as needed. - Supervise and control the re-supplying of linen closets, amenities, chemicals, linens -Checks rooms daily, and ensures that quality is being maintained by the Room Attendants and Housemen. -Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all housekeeping personnel.
- Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. - Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action. - Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments. - Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
-Sweep, mop,floors -Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting -Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries -Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies -Stock linen closet and supplies area -Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators -Pick up debris and empty trash containers -Report and store lost and found items.
-Taking notes -Scheduling meetings -Communications -Troubleshooting -Arranging travels and accommodation -Maintaining archives.
