Reports to: Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Department: Planning Location: Doha ACCOUNTABILITIES Functional Strategy: Business Planning: * Assist the CPO in developing the functional strategies and plans in line with the business needs and overall organizational strategy and objectives; * Develop the departmental strategies and plans in line with the functional strategies and ensure implementation and execution of the same. Departmental Management: * Manage the day-to-day operations of the Business Planning unit, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment, and liaising with internal and external parties, as necessary, to facilitate the flow of business. Exercises financial authority within established limits and controls departmental budget expenditure. Set up the milestone plans and steps to milestones. Track the progress over time and report to the Chief. Departmental Policies, Standards and Procedures: * Develop of the functional policies, standards and procedures and ensure alignment of the same with the organizational corporate governance framework; * Review and provide necessary recommendations for improving the departmental policies by the Heads to ensure smooth running of the department maintaining a positive image of the company internally and externally. Organization Structure: * Review and approve in conjunction with the CPO an optimum organization structure for the Business planning department so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner meeting the needs of the internal and external customers. Business Growth: * Support the Business development manager in the management in understanding financial implication of potential Investment/ JV opportunities by undertaking the necessary feasibility studies using rough assumptions/proxies for key value drivers. Business Strategic Planning: * Provide business modeling/ planning expertise to the departmental Heads and help them develop timely and accurate business plans based on appropriate value driver logic; * Support the management in translating strategic plan into clear/tangible business models/ plans for each function and provide overview on alignment of current portfolio with strategic plan; * Update business plans as needed over the course of the development lifecycle in order to ensure alignment with the market.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS Minimum Qualification: * Bachelor’s Degree; * Postgraduate or business qualification preferred. Minimum Experience: * 10 - 12 years of experience with a minimum of 4 years as a Manager in the Oil and Gas Industry. Job Specific Skills: * Strong technical process and technology exposure/ knowledge; * Strong analytical skills; * Good general understanding of all the business functions; * Skills for the development of new business ventures; * Financial Awareness; * Planning and Organizing; * Communication and presentation skills.
