Core Responsibilities Management of Electrical Works • Providing LV electrical support to the electrical lead and new works team • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and working within Safe Systems of Work • Commitment of resources deployed to meet contractual requirements • Responsible for the training in LV Electrical matters as necessary and acting as a ‘Competent Person Electrical’. • Plan and install new LV electrical works in line with the a lay-persons request The principal duties of the LV Electrician will include: • Undertaking of inspection of maintenance and LV electrical new works. • Provide day to day support to the new works team in respect of Mechanical and Electrical Works • Investigate faults and problems and advise on all engineering and related matters • Review/Investigate Works as requested • Raise as necessary Purchase Order Requisitions to Stores Supply and pass for approval prior to issue • To prepare estimates and/or purchase orders for maintenance, repair and new works of Electrical Plant • Supervise and ensure all engineering works are managed financially within budget • Ensuring satisfactory commissioning of all new electrical engineering services • Work within a planned maintenance programme including feedback reporting to the computerised log book system • Participate in an emergency call out service for the operational needs of the Client, the prime disciplines being – Distribution and Standby Power Generation • Undertake such other duties deemed necessary to supplement or balance the support services provided • Participate in the Management of Health and Safety; in particular undertake inspections of sub-contractors work • Any other duties as directed

Cerinte

Essential: • Be trained to IEE 17th edition Wiring Regulations or hold a valid North American NEC 2008 Electrical Qualification. • Apprentice proven experience • Minimum of 5 years on site experience preferably with a contractor providing LV electrical services within a military environment. • City & Guilds Level 3 2391 Certificate of Electrical Installations or equivalent. • Current NATO Security Clearance MUST be held Preferred: • Be familiar with NATO, ICAO and ISO terminology. • He must be registered as a Defence Estates Electrical Authorised Person (AP) with a valid AP certificate. • Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations. • Hold a valid St John’s (3 day standard) First Aid certificate or equivalent. • Ideally hold additional AP certificates in other disciplines such as POL, Working at Height and/or Confined Spaces
