• Planning, organizing, and directing the work of the section to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment • Managing the special equipment, trucks and all vehicles • Managing the department staff, scheduling performance management etc • Directing a preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment • Supervising a complicated mechanical maintenance and repair work on heavy lift equipment used in the field of transportation, hauling and maintenance purposes • Submitting regular reports including, road calls, break downs, accidents and performance • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests • Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training where applicable • Must keep a track of spares inventory and purchase requirements • Administering activities connected with the purchase of workshop tools, automotive repair supplies, repair parts and accessories • Directing a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work place • Recommending reductions or additions to personnel, facilities and equipment and changes in level of service • Administering a testing and inspection program to determine quality, suitability, and compliance with the specifications for vehicles, parts, accessories and materials • Preparing a preliminary automotive maintenance section budget request • Applying customer service methods and procedures • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in a customer facing environment; proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Performing any other job related duties as assigned from time to time

If a customer reports a technical problem, must be able to resolve the problem alone, or know who in the company can help resolve the problem both quickly and efficiently Essential Qualifications & Requirements • Should have at least 5-10 years’ experience in crane, heavy machinery (like JCB etc),maintenance, mobile lifting and carrying equipment • Should have at least 1-3 years experience in managing contracts • A degree in mechanical engineering or HND in Mechanical engineering or equivalent Computer Skills Knowledge of computers and software including ability to use e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software
