o develop, modify and maintain up-to-date a Linear Program (LP) tool that simulates the whole Refinery and support and guide other Technical and Optimization functions through this tool to ensure its proper functioning and effective use. Scope: Develop an efficient Liner Programing model for Refinery planning and optimization activities to help maximize the overall profits and improve the economical results of the Refinery. Ensure the efficiency of the LP tool in providing accurate inputs to Planning and Performance Control functions. Expected Results: Accurate, reliable and up-to-date Linear Programing Model simulating the whole Refinery is in place and continuously updated. Monthly and yearly budget and price forecasts are available and monitored. Required Resources: DT units’ modelization, LP supplier contract, models from new units’ suppliers, and budget data.
Main Competencies and Qualities: Strong knowledge of Linear Programing and Model Construction Methods. Strong technical knowledge of Refining production operations and processes. Good knowledge of Refining economics. Ability to develop accurate operational and economical analyses. Good knowledge of Refining research, production planning, trading and scheduling activities. Good knowledge of Refinery Performance Control or Oil Accounting. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Good contract management skills. Good interpersonal communication skills. Capable of giving strong attention to details. Strong analytical ability. Good problem solving skills. Strong command of oral and written English. Education Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Five (5) years of related Refining experience, of which at least Two (2) years in a similar position. Previous working experience as Process Engineer, Planner or Performance Control Engineer is preferred.
