Pathologist needed for Pathology Institute in Denmark Assignments The physician/staff specialist will contribute to: • Ensure patient treatment of the highest possible quality • Implement the agreed upon mission, vision and strategy in the department • Ensure continuous documentation of the departments tasks, production and quality • Ensure the best possible use of resources as well as stimulation of the medical and the cross functional co-operation between the departments • Retrain and upgrading the medical personnel as well as other personnel groups • Establish the best possible conditions for co-operation between the department and the rest of the hospital • Launch development and possibly research assignments, and thereby contributing to the continuous development and reputation of the profession • Carry on the organizational values: Dialog, competence and audacity. The physician must live up to the 8 management principles of the hospital: • We are result oriented • We put the patients in focus • We show leadership and maintain our goal • We manage through dialogue, processes and data • We develop and involve our employees • We create learning, innovation and improvements • We develop partnerships • We are professional Area of responsibility The physician will be responsible for an anatomical area/organ system and function within the daily diagnostics as well as in development and quality control. At the departments physicians will provide the staff specialists with the needed support. The physician shall in co-operation with the rest of the medical staff participate in the resolution of the departments additional tasks. Educational commitments The department participates in the education of specialist doctors in pathological anatomy and cytology in accordance with approved educational programs. The physician shall, together with the rest of the medical staff participate in supervision of doctors seek further education. Shortly after recruitment a plan for the applicant’s further training in accordance with the functional description will be agreed upon. Parallel to this there will be a program for the applicant’s medical development. Others The physician is expected on an equal footing with the department’s physicians to handle the department’s obligations in relation to primary and secondary sectors in the receptive section of Hospital unit West.
