Staff specialist needed for Radiology department in Denmark Place of employment In the Region of Northern Jutland, serving at the department of Radiology at a hospital. Main function Staff specialist at the department of Radiology Assignments The staff specialist: • Participates in the acute and elective function in co-operation with the rest of the staff • Request for working with certain areas will be taken into consideration, but main need is an applicant who is capable of handling general examinations in relation to CT, UL, conventional X-ray treatment and screening. • Independent function and responsibility within the field of interests referring to the head doctor. The medical work of the department is organized so that patient care is followed and is under the control of the same staff specialist, to the extent that is possible. Shifts The staff specialist is part of a 5/6 rota, right now including shifts without presence. Special obligations The staff specialist is obliged to follow the normative documents and medical instructions that have been composed by the Region of Northern Jutland and the clinical specialties at the hospital. The seven roles of the doctor The applicant’s qualifications will be judged according to the seven roles of the doctor: The staff specialist must be a medical specialist in the field of diagnostic radiology with a broad radiological education. • Medical expertise The applicant must be a specialist doctor in the field of diagnostic radiology with a broad radiological education and have documented competencies and experience with diagnostic radiology. • Academic It is desirable if the applicant can document interest and willingness to initiate and participate in quality development within his department. It is furthermore appreciated that the applicant has some scientific experience and production. • Communication It is desirable if the candidate is experienced in education of doctors, nurses and other personnel. Furthermore we put emphasis on the communicative skills of the applicant in a broad sense. • Management and administration It is desirable if the applicant can be part of the administrative co-operation forum, for example as part of the team management. • Health promotion Potential health promoting initiatives will be documented. • Professional The candidate should be able to work independently including being able to manage own resources within the treatment, ethical, and legal demands. • Co-operation There is great emphasis on the ability of the candidate to co-operate and communicate and his ability to show determination and personal drive. As soon as possible after the employment, a plan will be made for the future education of the applicant with regards to the description of functions and concurrent, a program will be made for the general medical development of the applicant. You are offered • A 6 month language course and Danish Medical Language Program in Budapest with compensation for lost income • A short trip to Denmark prior to the 6 months’ language course where the candidate and his/her family can meet their future employer, workplace and living area • Cultural teaching prior to departure • Approximately €6700 gross per month (€7500-€8000 after one year when the doctor is ready for duties) • 6 weeks paid holiday and additional 16,12% pension benefits • Assistance in administrative processes • Accommodation assistance in Denmark • All expenses for recruitment, language training and integration will be covered Partner Programme and Family Integration • Free Danish language course and family program in Budapest or on-line • Partner Program with a personal integration consultant • Assistance for your spouse in search of employment and integration in Denmark • Guidance regarding schooling and child care • Access to our candidate network in Denmark • Information on Danish tax matters • Hotline service for urgent questions • Extra Danish classes after arrival to Denmark • Coaching, regular evaluation and assistance in integration process
