SUMMARY A QA Engineer at our Company works side by side with the development team to test and verify software applications, assisting the team in achieving the desired quality in their products. The QA Engineer manages the lifecycle of QA testing from planning through to completion of applications. The QA Engineer also drafts Test Scenarios while performing and managing the testing activity. The test plans and test cases are developed based on the QA Engineer’s analysis of requirements and design/system documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in QA process, QA reporting and QA tools.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * 2 - 5 years experience in software testing; * Experience writing/ maintaining and executing test cases; * Experience writing comprehensive bug reports in English using a bug tracker system; * Experience with Test Case management tools; * Ability to look at a system and its specifications and understand the areas to be tested; ability to read a system specification to understand the purpose and structure of a system or database; * Ability to submit detailed bug reports, regress bugs, and verify bug fixes; * Must be able to prioritize, solve complex tasks, and recognize and escalate risks; * Experience in testing Web-based applications required; * Basic knowledge of SQL; * Basic understanding of scripting/programming languages (Python, etc.); * Basic ISTQB foundation, experience in SCRUM methodology and experience with Automated testing tools (Selenium and JMeter) is a plus. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE * Must be able to prioritize, solve complex tasks, and recognize and escalate risks; * Highly motivated, self-driven and excited by their work; * Self starter that needs little direction and has a demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; * Good verbal and written communications skills; * Fluency in verbal and written English is required; * Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
