SUMMARY The Support Engineers perform Support and Maintenance activities on multiple projects at the same time. They will be responsible for supporting multiple internal projects, so time management and strong multi-tasking skills are key. These accomplished developers are capable of managing scope, requirements, internal clients, and support tasks, as well as providing technical mentoring for the new members joining the support team.

KNOWLEDGE& SKILLS * 5+ years of technical development experience; * Knowledge of multiple technologies, including: Python; PHP; JavaScript; SQL; Web Services (SOAP, REST); Databases (SQL, MySQL); Source Control (SVN/ CVS) System Administration skills: (2-3 years experience): Linux admin (e.g., ubuntu/ gentoo/ centos); Web server admin (e.g., apache + ssl/ rewrite/ wsgi); bash scripting; * A deep understanding of OO design principles to support large-scale custom and assembled enterprise applications; * Extensive experience with debugging, reuse, source code management strategies (e.g. forking, branching), and release management; * Very good analytical skills; * Good at multi-tasking and switching between different projects and technologies in the same time span in order to accommodate potential concurrent demands. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE * Comfortable facilitating group discussions and leading client requirement activities; able to translate user requirements into functional specifications for him/ herself and/ or development teams; * Establish micro level plans and set technical direction for a small team; lead the estimation effort for new features implementation; work to identify and manage risk and control scope; * Able to provide inputs on developing new features to the supported products, in line with client business objectives; * Experience managing workstreams, setting expectations, providing guidance and feedback, and successfully shifting to the role of leader; * Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent presentation and facilitation skills; must speak fluent English.
