Responsibilities 1. Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements of a project; 2. Consult with other professionals about design; 3. Assess the needs of the building and its users and advise the client on the practicality of their project; 4. Use IT in design specifically using computer-aided design software; 5. Keep within deadlines; 6. Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications; 7. Specify the nature and quality of materials required; 8. Prepare tender applications and presentations; 9. Prepare applications for planning, production and building departments; 10. Help to coordinate the work of production; 11. Oversee design and production; 12. Resolve problems and issues that arise during production/construction;


IMPORTANT QUALITIES A strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions; Sound analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail; A keen interest in buildings and the built environment Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals; Good organisational and negotiation skills; Strong teamwork and leadership skills; An understanding about the relationship between people, buildings and the wider environment; Your background: University degree Good command of written & spoken English Good design and drawing skills to demonstrate your flair for architecture; A first-rate understanding of construction processes; Excellent IT skills, including computer-aided design skills ( Autocad, Revit, Arhicad)
