Duties: - The candidate will be required to work closely with the head and sous chefs; cooking breakfast, prepping for dinner service as well as a few lunch services each week. - Required to maintain a high standard of service at all times. - It is expected that all kitchen team members abide by the Health and Safety legislations and guidelines; regarding kitchen production, machinery, equipment and hygiene. - Ensure mis en place is completed in your section - Ensure all relevant kitchen areas are clean and tidy after service. - Ensure minimum kitchen wastage - Manage stock ensuring that quality standards and value for money are obtained. - Take responsibility for deliveries, checking that goods are correct and of good quality and noting or resolving any discrepancies. - To provide support to other sections of the kitchen as and when required - Any other reasonable duties as required to fulfil the needs of the business
Our hotel requires a commis chef or chef de partie to join the kitchen team at the Star Castle Hotel to work in our two award-winning restaurants under the control of the Head Chef. The candidate will be required to work closely with the head and sous chefs; cooking breakfast, prepping for dinner service as well as a few lunch services each week. The restaurants are both fine dining in style and the menus change on a daily basis. The chefs work with fresh local produce. Beginner to moderate experience is required.
