We are looking for experienced carers to join a lovely team in a small town in the West Midlands. Duties will include: 1. To assist the service users with their individual care needs to the highest standard. 2. To understand the importance and value of information regarding individuals, to ensure all current care needs are treated with confidentiality. 3. To respect & promote individual’s independency, dignity & privacy at all times. 4. To be aware of service users emotional, spiritual, & holistic needs. 5. To contribute to records including appropriate risk assessments, to be aware of service user’s desirability of making risks, providing this does not endanger others, to ensure protection of service users & staff. 6. To help in the promotion of general cleanliness/tidiness of living environment, this contributes to enhance the quality of life for service users. 7. To recognise the value of activities and entertainment, to ensure that every opportunity is given to each service user to participate or not, as they wish. 8. To respect the value of personal property belonging to service user’s. 9. To encourage service user’s involvement in decisions relating to the running of the home. 10. To maintain at all times a homely and non institutional atmosphere as much as possible. 11. To demonstrate a commitment to providing equal opportunities for all regardless of their individual background, and give equal support based on individuals needs and wishes. Accommodation is available at a very good rate. Rate of pay: £7.50 per hour
Care Assistants are expected to possess or be actively working towards achievement of at least NVQ Level 2 in Care. Conduct 1. To be aware that your job role involves teamwork, and be prepared with willing good humour to be a full member of team. 2. To be accountable and accept direction from Senior staff in the duties to be performed. 3. To be involved in decisions relating to the running of the home. 4. To be aware of the needs and benefits of continued learning and training. 5. To ensure that all records are maintained and information recorded regarding service user’s. 6. To ensure the maintenance of a safe home environment. 7. Ensure you use effective channels of communication/information. 8. To work to a high standard of good practice, and adhere to policies, principles & practices of home.
