We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Field Support Engineer, that will provide first and second line of support for complicated communication & cyber intelligence systems, from Abu Dhabi. Field Support Engineer You will be... - Working with the partners of the company in the US and with local ISP networks operators; - Providing support for the company systems in areas of the technical support function, including installation, integration, maintenance as well as on-going support functions such as upgrading hardware and software, performance and capacity planning, etc; - Troubleshooting and servicing complex customer service inquiries for hardware/software products; - Analyzing and evaluating technical issues and suggesting methods and techniques to achieve resolution; - Assisting in the maintenance and implementation of technical support systems, serve as member of a project team. - Assisting in training, methodology implementation and orientation of other staff and/or users.
Qualifications: - Electronics, software or other technical degree (Technician / Engineer); - 3+ years experience as support or integrator engineer working with customers - locally and/or abroad; - Excellent technical troubleshooting and debugging skills; - Knowledge of communication: network structure (LAN, WAN), practical experience with communication equipment integration and configuration; - Experience with enterprise server hardware (Cisco, HP, Dell, Intel, IBM), central storage solutions (EMC, NetApp, IBM, Intel) and technologies (SAN, NAS); - Experience in VMware based environments – Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting; - Extensive knowledge and understanding of operating system (Windows, Linux, Unix) including installation, administration and configuration; - Ability to write technical documentation; - Very good command of English, other languages are considered an advantage; - Ability to work under pressure, in the company and at customer site and to work non-regular hours; - Availability to travel (20-30%). Desired skills: - Knowledge and understanding of packet data and ISP networks (MPLS, GSM, LTE); - Experience with secure network configuration, firewalls, internet gateways and network antivirus products; - Experience with IP analysis tools for complex network problem troubleshooting (e.g. Wireshark, Protocol Analyzer, Cacti, PRTG); - Experience with malware forensics products – Static analysis, Sandbox, Memory forensics. - Familiarity with SQL and DBMS (Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL) By joining the team, you will have access to: - Attractive salary and bonus plan; - Relocation package; - Yearly accommodation; - Work transportation; - Health insurance; - Communication (internet and phones) - Yearly home leave vacation of 2 weeks - Minimum Engagement of 2 years If you would like to work in an interesting, challenging environment, please send us your CV in English!
