Provide technical support for customer projects as part of Customer Engineering Team in Fixed networks: · Test execution and problem support during project validation in customer lab and in field · Prepare validation reports and method of procedure documentation · Support on tickets opened for ongoing validation activities · Support Customer demo, Proof of Concept, First-off deployment · Guarantee personal readiness by continuous learning of new technology, products, features Position role requires working within engineering and operation teams in customer communities, local custom facing teams, and central support teams in ALU community. Office Location · Preferable ALU Vimercate premises · Availability to travel for 1 week/few weeks missions in Italy / Greece sub-cluster countries · Up to 50 % of working time may be spent in customer premises Key Responsibility · Frequent and direct customer interaction · Capacity to effectively engage customer at technical domain to present a solid and competent output during validation execution. · High product and technology knowledge that allows quick reaction when performing tests or getting requests from customers. · Local test-plant preparation prior to execution in front of customer · Problem support and first level of root cause analysis before escalating towards R&D · Fault investigation both remotely, and on-site as requested · Preparation and validation of procedures to be performed by ALU or customer teams · Participating in Demo’s, Trials, Proof of Concept at customer site or in local test-plant


Technical Skills and Knowledge Has got the necessary technical background and soft skills to design and execute validation activities for an E2E solution on Fixed Network domain. Preferable to have some knowledge in some of following technical domains: · Copper Access: ADSL/VDSL/ · Fibre Access: GPON · Voice Access: POTS, IDSN, VoIP · Networking: ATM, Ethernet, IP · SW platforms: Red Hat Linux, VMware · OSS functionality: Alarm, performance, provisioning management · Analytical mindset and creativity highly oriented towards problem solving · High accountability and initiative to get best results during NPI support · Capability for working under pressure and under short time reaction constraints. Languages skill · Fluent in English and in Italian
