DRIVING INFINITE POSSIBILITIES WITHIN A DIVERSIFIED, GLOBAL ORGANIZATION Responsibilities: • Lead supplier strategy, negotiation, selection, price strategy, and performance management for rapid prototype and non-production prototype suppliers. • Monitor closely that all non-production supplier prototypes are sourced in line with Cost, Quality, Capacity, and Timing Goals defined at the beginning of the project. • Partner with the New Product Launch Sourcing and Prototype Operations teams in achieving customer milestones and ensuring quality lessons-learned are transferred to later stages of product/supplier development. • Partner with commodity teams on production supplier prototype capability roadmaps, supplier audits, and actions to increase prototype sourcing at production suppliers. • Develop global operating processes, standards, and metrics for Prototype Sourcing and incorporate Prototypes into existing Sourcing processes where possible. • Identify natural product groupings and rationalize non-production supply base, increasing commercial leverage over fewer prototype suppliers. • Identify, develop, and source at new prototype suppliers when appropriate to meet unique business requirements. • Is the focal point of contact for Prototypes in what concern Supply Base and product launches.
• Strong Management abilities and capability to communicate concisely at all organizational levels. • Strong negotiator, and ability to lead, communicate, and act in a technical and multicultural environment. • Ability to coach and motivate a team in a cross-functional context. • Creative and innovative in problem solving. • Recognized Change Agent. • Ability to model, implement and improve processes. • Basic knowledge of ERP systems and good general IT knowledge. • Ability to turn a problem statement into a process and consequently into a system requirement. • Basic knowledge of Quality systems (ISO TS). • Master’s Degree preferred in Business or Engineering.
