Based in Austin, Texas, the ESW Capital Group specifically focuses on buying, strengthening, then growing mature business software companies. By taking advantage of its unique operating platform, ESW revitalizes its acquisitions for sustainable success while making customer satisfaction a top priority. ESW and its affiliated companies have been in the enterprise software space since 1988, and the group includes notable brands such as Aurea, Ignite Technologies,Trilogy, and Versata. The group has performed over 50 acquisitions since 2006 and is on pace to do 20+ annually. While we appear similar to many software Private Equity firms, there are key differences. Our group background is in software operations, not financial deal-making. We do not serve as ‘board members’ for our acquisitions, but rather as the operators. Our primary focus is on acquiring a large number of smaller companies each year. We fully integrate these businesses into our ecosystem making extensive use of centralized shared services, systems, and processes. This enables huge economies of scale that these smaller businesses could never achieve on their own. We have also built our culture, systems, and processes around a global virtual workforce. Everyone from the lowest level accounting clerk to the CFO operates in this model. You will find we are one of the few companies offering high-paying jobs that are 100% remote, work from home. Job Description Reporting to the Group CFO, the Group SVP of Finance is responsible for the end to end accounting, treasury, tax compliance, and FP&A across the all the ESW Capital Group companies. The associated finance ERP systems and IT resources that manage them will also report to you. You will be the Senior Executive responsible for all audits and relationship with auditors as well as all bank reporting and relationship with lenders. You will lead a virtual, lean team of 50-100 people with a maniacal and never-ending focus on productivity, automation, and quality.


Qualifications and Key Selection Criteria Education and work history/experience 10-20+ years experience as a finance professional Extensive experience with M&A, specifically the integration of financial teams from acquisitions Extensive experience with offshore or virtual teams Extensive experience with large-scale ERP systems implementation Core skills and capabilities You thrive in fast-paced and experiential learning You are fearless in making and executing decisions You are well organized, resourceful, as well as effective and efficient at marshaling multiple resources to get things done You are skilled at getting individuals, teams, and an entire organization to perform at a higher level and to embrace change Compensation is $500k/year Location: Global (remote)
