Advanced Driver Assistance Systems provide drivers active safety support by identifying potentially hazardous situations in advance, and helping to avoid them. We are developing innovative products based on the newest technologies in automotive electronic. Lane Departure Warning is based on image processing technologies and uses camera sensors for monitoring the position of the car on the road. It protects drivers from unintentional lane changes. Blind Spot Detection is a 24GHz radar based system which provides information on whether there are any vehicles in the side mirror areas non-visible for the driver. Automatic Cruise Control system keeps the proper distance between the cars and automatically breaks the car in case of dangerous situations, using Laser technology. As Hardware Development Engineer you'll be involved in: creating Internal HW requirements according customer requirements designing, calculating and simulating hardware modules and schematics according to customer requirements, internal design rules performing Design FMEA and worse case analyses collaborating with layout engineers for schematic entry and layout development creating HW test specifications, perform HW tests and create test reports performing EMC measurements and EMC optimisation when necessary performing FEA tests documenting the HW design supporting the SW team in developing the embedded SW applications cooperating with an international development team and customers A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Qualifications University Degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Informatics...) Good experience in analog and/or digital electronic design; Knowledge in microcontrollers and embedded SW systems; Knowledge in measuring and test equipment; Basic knowledge in embedded SW (Assembly language, C or C++); Knowledge in any of the next areas would be a plus: Camera sensors, Optoelectronics, Radar technologies, RF, IR Lasers, Labview; Good English language skills.
