Design of innovative and new concepts of fuel pump motors and pump stages; Implementing all technical requirements for a supply unit under the direction of designers, technical draftsmen, development suppliers and external development service providers. Creating (design) project plans. Implementing all targets (functionality, costs, installation, service life, strength and deadline) for a component to be applied, based on an existing or newly defined platform/series. Independently implementing products to be applied, based on existing series and the new development and configuration of supply units and their components. Designing supply units. Developing design solutions for supply units and components without stipulations in the context of the specified concepts and cost targets according to the requirement specifications. Monitoring and supporting design solutions for existing supply units and their further development and optimization. Responsible for one or more components of supply units. Responsible for the application of standards and the use of toolkits. Checking drawings, specifications and documents created by order (e.g. technical draftsmen, design engineers) with regard to standards and content. Developing and evaluating solution designs in detail, taking into account functional, toolrelated, production and financial aspects. Independent coordination of the results with the relevant departments (e.g. Development, Work Preparation). Using drawings to examine the form, dimensions and tolerances according to designs/information, taking into account production aspects (e.g. automatic assembly, modular structure) and space. Coordinating and presenting the results in working groups. Creating overviews to find solutions (e.g. morphological box) with corresponding presentation and interpretation of the results with suggested solutions. Collaboration with regard to CAD use in working groups. Helping to create CAD work instructions and standards. Organizing and managing internal CAD training measures and checking their effectiveness. Processing subprojects: Independently implementing several supply units to be applied, on the basis of existing series as part of a subproject. Ensuring all targets (functionality, costs, installation, service life, strength and deadline) for the components or supply unit to be applied. Safeguarding workflows and processes: Implementing the workflows specified, especially the product development process. Independently supporting suppliers and external developments.
Product Functionality knowledge; ProE knowledge (and similar CAD tools); Knowledge of designing and manufacturing mechanical parts; Knowledge of tooling, drawing standards, design guidelines (plastic, sheet metal parts), material strenght, tolerances; Knowledge of thermal phenomena (convection, conduction, radiation) and fluid flow; FMEA; SAP utilization; Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) knowledge; Requirements engineering knowledge; Advanced English language skills; Advanced German language skills (optional).
