As part of the IP and Optical Customer Engineering Delivery organization, the purpose of this role is to actively contribute to the following tasks across the South East Europe area and even on EMEA level. Take responsibility for definition and execution of demos, proof of concept, type approvals tests, field trials, and in general any New Product Introduction (NPI) activity with our customer for any new product or solution Be accountable from definition to validation / acceptance by the customer - working with mature elements of our portfolio Take responsibility and accountability for generic test plans for customer lab evaluations Create, reviews and approves Methods of Procedures prior to implementation Be responsible for supporting major initial network deployments across the EMEA region Develop, verify and document upgrade procedures in customer’s networks Applies standard design, development and testing processes in customer environment - Performs on site pre-acceptance and acceptance testing of the delivered product or solution. Maintain lab equipment for customer demos, investigations, validation tests etc. Train Customer Delivery members on new products/features Maintain and improve interfaces with technical personnel from other Nokia multi-regional groups and organizations involved in process (Project Manager, Maintenance Service Managers, Regional Technical Support, Technical Expertise Center, Welcome Center, etc.)
The position requires strong technical skills in one or more of the following areas Designing, commissioning and maintaining of DWDM networks (preferred but not limited to Nokia portfolio) Photonic area OTN GMPLS L0 and L1, MRN L2 over DWDM Migration, administration and O&M of 1350OMS 5620SAM managing 1830PSS family RedHat VmWare Master Degree in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines, Excellent communication skills verbal & written and documentation. Experience in troubleshooting, problem solving skills and working experience of Nokia Optics and 1350OMS portfolio. Ability to learn effectively and quickly, Team player and able to work on own initiative. Innovative and proactive approach. Ability to travel (both domestic and abroad). Languages Fluent English. German and French are a plus. Ability to cope with stressful and time demanding tasks.
