The successful applicant will support a team of four payroll administrators responsible for paying employees each month. We are looking for an individual who can work closely within a team environment, and consistently meet company and banking deadlines. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure the timely and accurate payment of staff salaries and wages, in accordance with relevant conditions of service and legislation. • Answer telephone queries relating to pay in a competent and understanding fashion. • Participation in all relevant training as required. CIPP qualifications may be available to the successful candidate.
• Two years’ experience in a payroll role or a similar administration role (preferable, but not essential) • Good level of IT literacy (including MS Office applications). • Good level of numeracy and literacy. GCSE Maths and English (A*-B) or its equivalent are essential, further education is desirable. • Excellent telephone manner. • Good interpersonal skills and delivery of customer service with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business. • Ability to react positively to sudden and unexpected changes in demand. • Organised, methodical, self-motivated and committed to providing quality service. • High levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
