1. Update and maintain schedule data to ensure project consistency and optimization. 2. Create formal communication plan to both team members and management. 3. Frequently will be assigned as team leader; having indirect responsibility for team members’ completion of tasks to project plan. 4. Ensure contractors provide resource loaded schedules at determined intervals to make sure construction is being completed on time and within budget. 5. Create and maintain project capital and non-capital spending plan. 6. Create and maintain project financial justification. 7. Support the use/integration of project and contract management systems into the daily operation of the business. 8. Provide support for the administration of contracts including scope of works & tender/contract preparation, and correspondence. 9. Recognize and understand competing business requirements and make recommendations for the overall good of the projects team. 10. Perform project progress monitoring duties including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts with progress achieved to date. 11. Assist the Project Controls Manager with evaluating schedule impacts arising from sourcing decisions. 12. Meet all established project deadlines. 13. Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis. 14. Be a resource to facilitate the resolution of project issues by team members. 15. Regularly keep management informed of problems, issues, and status of on-going projects. 16. Create and maintain project plan.
- 3 to 5 years experience in planning and scheduling. - Exposure to cost engineering, planning and contracts administration. -Experience in mining/mineral processing, infrastructure design/construction, or heavy engineering operations preferred. - Generally a combination of at least 3 or more years of project management and/or specific technical experience with designs, processes, or business practices. - Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritize requests. - Well developed computer literacy specifically including: MS Office suite, Primavera Suite (both 3.1 and Enterprise(P6), MS Project (Gantt charts). - Good organizational skills.
