Marshall Group are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative Team Leader within their Quality Assurance Department, to support both their Engineering and Manufacturing Departments. This important role will support the development of the Company's Business Management System and support Project Quality Engineers in reviewing contractual obligations. The successful applicant will ensure the Company meets and maintains design and post-design Quality obligations under approvals / accreditations including ISO 9001:2000/AS9100, EASA Parts 21J and G, UK MoD and BCAR. Main Duties of the Role: • Providing Quality Support to develop Engineering and Manufacturing processes • Checking and approving (where appropriate) Design Specifications, Statements of Work, Letters of Initiation and Concessions • Review and Authorisation of Skill Code applications • Investigation into Quality failure within Engineering and Manufacturing Departments to identify trends and to facilitate remedial action • Co-ordination of staff tasking and work-loads to meet requirements and ensure effective communication between QAE's and senior QA management • Develop and manage the Quality Assurance Audit programme with the Team Leader QA Audit Management to ensure surveillance is appropriate to our scope of approvals • Develop relationships and processes with Customers and Regulators • Lead the Quality Assurance integration piece for PLM implementation.
Key essential requirements include: • Maintain and administer the Quality Assurance Audit programme to monitor compliance with all national and international standards, Company procedures and capabilities as necessary • Be the focal point for Engineering and Manufacturing Quality within the Company • Liaise with Customers’ Quality representatives and Regulatory Authorities on Engineering and Manufacturing Quality matters • Develop analytical methods to measure and continually improve the process of robust reporting metrics in support of Departmental and Company performance • To be the Quality Assurance point of contact for implementation of the Engineering Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM) system The following skills would be desirable: • Excellent written and verbal communication skill • In depth knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing IT systems • Experience of coaching for improved performance Qualifications and Experience: The position requires a qualification to degree level or equivalent experience in the field of Quality Assurance.
