SUMMARY OF ROLE This is the lead role for the European SharePoint environment. There are now 3500 sites and 6000 unique users accessing these sites per month (2500/day). They view c. 600 000 pages a month. SharePoint is business-critical globally. In Europe our customers are from literally all parts of the Business. As an example, the French Sales, a 130 million dollar business, is dependent on SharePoint for the day to day running of sales support. Our customers see the great efficiency benefits that SharePoint brings, and frequently request functionality that needs complex setup using standard functionality or development of custom apps/services. The focus of this role is on managing project requests, gathering requirements, assigning, managing or working on the solutions as appropriate. Providing second tier support is also expected. Proactivity in suggesting business process improvements and harmonization of processes is expected. This is not primarily a software development position, though opportunities will exist to learn the latest cloud software technologies, and use that knowledge in some projects. PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Assess the requirements of customers requesting new functionality. * Help our customers create formal business requirements that are technically agnostic * Work with our software architects to determine if a request is for SharePoint, an add-in or an Azure hosted app. * Design, document and implement solutions using the rich out of the box functionality of SharePoint 2013 and Nintex. The engagement of internal resources or consultants might be required in some situations * Provide 2^nd tier support to site owners * Keep up to date with the latest technologies available in O365 and Azure, to allow seamless collaboration with software architects * Provide support and implement enhancements for existing solutions * Ensure that all activities strictly follow the RFC processes that are in place * Suggest improvements to existing processes, or new processes where none exist * Document all work done * Assist with the testing and acceptance of solutions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * Required * Technical knowledge of intranets * Ability to lead smaller project teams * Strong problem solving & analytical skills * Strong customer orientation * Must be able to express technical matters in simple terms for non-technical people to understand. * Ability to work in/lead a remote team with members scattered across multiple countries Preferred * Experience in SharePoint 2013/Office 365, but this can be trained in house if the other requirements are met * Experience in Nintex Workflow and Forms, but these can be trained in house if the other requirements are met * Knowledge of SCRUM/Agile methodology Nice to have * Microsoft SQL Reporting Services 2008 (or later) Languages: fluent English. Either French, Italian, or Spanish would be an advantage
