• Active contribution in new projects for purchased parts according BU2 Purchasing & Supplier Quality RASIC (APQP for purchased parts and supplier development) in order to acquire, manage and hand-over successful customer projects. • Planning and assuring quality of purchased parts applying quality methods and tools (e.g. FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, 8-D,...) • Assessment and approval of suppliers and supplier production processes. Supplier visits/meetings (including domestic and international travel as required) • Perform supplier process audits according VDA 6.3 and/or supplier assessments - define development actions (e.g. Audits, PPAP, Run@Rate,...) - checking of corrective action effectiveness • Problem solving tracking (e.g. 8D method, Paynter chart,…) • Active contribution in teams to develop supplier strategies (Team work with SQM, purchasing, project teams, plants and central functions and for VA/VE activities) • Preparation, follow-up and wrap up of quality agreements with suppliers • Collaboration in projects and documentation & presentation of results • Leadership and support of SQE-D and PB-Team in the MAHLE location of Timisoara • Policy & process deployment acc. definitions by European heads of either SQE & PB • Nomination of SQE-D and PB to new projects according to capacities in alignment with European heads of either SQE & PB • Cooperation with SQM and PB Europe to improve the processes continuously • Regular reporting to SQM and PB Europe and external reporting including related activities


• Engineering degree or equivalent, at least 3 – 5 years professional experience • Knowledge of automotive quality requirements - experience in Purchasing (certified as VDA 6.3 auditor preferred) • Leadership capability (able to lead and drive) • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of IT- Tools (MS Office & SAP R3) • Technical, manufacturing and process knowledge • Competency in quality methods and tools (e.g.TS 16949, Problem solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA, GD&T,…) • Commercial knowledge incl. cost breakdown analyses, overhead/hourly rate calculation, legal contract content, logistics • Negotiation abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Ability to work and communicate efficiently in different cultures • Fluent in English (strong communication skills both verbal and written) • Other foreign language skills is a plus
