The Job Responsible included Preparing Detailing Plan for Execution, Planning & Allocation of Proper Resources, Preparing Budget & Monitoring of Cost. Building up an Action Plan in consultation with Client, mainly on Transocean Drillship vessels and Drill Rigs. A significant project in which I was involved was Drillship Deepwater Millenium (in Keppel Benoi Shipyard – Singapore). The main jobs consisted in the installation of new pipe systems such as vacuum, CIP, fuel, ROV.
Supervising installation of all types of mechanical equipments and pipe systems on board for a new shipbuilding “Lay Pipe Vessel” type.
Coordinated steel renewal activities on board of M/V FREEDOM ferryboat type. Main job was represented in fabrication, fitting and delivered to the Class and Owner Representative of an additional intermediate car deck, and a new sea chest ice reinforcement, including all NDT required (steel renewal in around 98 tons).
Coordinated activities of pipe fabrication in workshop according with isometric drawings, erection on board, for a various pipe system and installation on board, all four new buildings Offshore Supply Vessel's type. Delivered to Class Survey and Owner Representative with all tests required.
My work consisted in supervising over construction and technical delivery for two product carrier of 114,000 DWT each; starting stages of the manufacturing panels block sections, super blocks, erection in dry dock, sea trials. Meanwhile, there was a professional relationship between myself as the owner representative, and the QA-QC Inspectors and Class Surveyor. I have also been involved in the reception (visual inspection, radiography interpretation, NDT disciplines and final testing) of the ship associated pipe installations.
