I am applying for Warehouse Operative work. I am physically fit, immediately available for work and a keen and dedicated worker.
I worked in and around Bradford as window cleaner, but due to much competition and my round diminishing I relocated to Merseyside in the hope of securing full time, permanent employment.
I worked as part of a large team over a ten year period working for various agencies on motorway maintenance projects. I was responsible for digging ditches, painting on bitumen on the sides of bridges and also drove the dumper truck in order to take rubble from one side of the site to the other. This was fast paced work as we had to work under pressure to meet company deadlines. All work was carried out following Health & Safety specifications.
•Excellent listening and communication skills •Friendly and supportive disposition with great customer service skills •Flexible and willing to work hours to meet with business demands •Fork lift truck licensed, both Counterbalance and Reach qualified •Fully experienced in construction work with CSCS Operatives Card
I left School in 1972 and enlisted in the British Army. I initially joined for 3 years, but I extended that by a further 6 years because I really enjoyed serving being a soldier. I left after 9 years having achieved the rank of Sergeant
I am an amiable person, slow to anger, problem solver. I would rather talk things through than be aggressive. Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
In 5 years time I would love to own my own house and be in full time work.
Painting and Decorating - I enjoy being creative and enjoy seeing the end product and the high quality of my work.
To be self sufficient and in control of my own future.
Having been in the Army I know that I can work both as part of an effective team but also work on my own using my own initiative.
Self Employed Painter and Decorator
Throughout my entire career I have only had good or excellent references, all testimonials that I have received are positive and would recommend my services to others. During my time in the Army, I was promoted to Sergeant within 9 years to recognise my standard of work. I am a proud father of 9 children, who are an inspiration and motivation for me everyday. The standard of my work was so high that my previous employer created a role for me based on my reputation. I have relocated several times throughout my life, showing my resilience, adaptability and flexibility.
Absolutely, I am experienced working for the Army in meeting or exceeding targets and deadlines, under pressure and either motivating a team to achieve joint goals or working independently to achieve these goals alone.
