Receptionist Job Description Reception Desk is the communication line with customers , starting from the check in till the check out of the guest including all activities of guest information , handling any other requirements the guest may have. Producers at Reception Desk: The hand over is taken from previous shift. To keep the workstation and entire work desk clean and tidy. To check the arrivals and departures of the day. Review and update the VIP list. Check supplies and forms. To block the rooms prior to the guest starting with the VIP according to their request. Make sure that the rooms are ready before the arrival time with coordination of the housekeeping by notifying them about the arrival time. To keep ready pre-registration cards for the VIPs and regular quests. VIP rooms to be inspected prior to the arrival.( Cleanliness of the room, amenities ,electric applications ).
