I've been working in all the departments of this hotel: bar, dining room, coffee shop, reception, few half shifts in housekeeping. for restaurant: - seating customers - taking orders from and to the customer - clearing the tables - mise-en-place - bills (card/cash/room account) - serving drinks - offering the best service to the customer - during the busy time we used to serve even more than 200 customers per night in the coffee-shop: - taking orders - preparing drinks (coffee large/small, tea (different kinds), lattes, cappuccinos large/small, juices, draft juices) - cutting and serving cakes - preparing (toasted)sandwiches/baguettes, jacket potatoes - using the till - placing orders - dealing with payments (card/cash/room accounts) - cleaning the surfaces and the area before closing - I left the job because they didn't offer me the job they selected me for (I was selected for reception)
- checking-in/out guests - answering the phone (taking bookings, connecting with other departments/rooms) - dealing and handling payments (cash/card) - dealing with complaints - offering taxi bookings for customers - end of day part - dealing with rooming lists (for groups) - working in opera system - the hotel had 93 rooms and 4 conference's rooms - I left this job exactly 2 months before being promoted to front office manager because I hoped I'll develop my career in another country
- seating customers - taking orders from and to the customer - clearing the tables - mise-en-place - bills (card/cash/room account) - serving drinks - hovering the restaurant before the day starts - cleaning all the areas in the restaurant - serving weddings - taking care of coffee-breaks (making sure they have enough coffee, water, cookies) - offering the best service to the customer - I left the job to go to front office department
- check-in/out guests - bills (cash only) - taking the phone calls - cleaning the reception area - helping the restaurant during lunch - there were only 18 rooms - I left the job because I couldn't manage to go to my classes to university
- taking care that all the learning process is going well - correcting homework, paper-works, all the mistakes the pupils were making - giving marks to the pupils - I left the job because I was still in university and the salary was too little.
I had to correct all the mistakes in local articles, titles and publicity pages and sometimes I had to translate from English to Romanian texts from internet for mosaic pages. I left the job to go and see how being a teacher is.
