Design of the 3D model for plastic parts, taking into consideration the maximum allocated volume, design rules regarding proximities with other parts, fixation points, the technical feasibility and the aesthetic surfaces of these parts. Definition of the technical solutions for key areas of the vehicle, in 2D typical sections, including all the parts in the specific area. Based on the exterior design (the aesthetic part) and a set of preexisting rules regarding the relative position of the parts (the technical part), the typical sections represented the adaptation of a technical solution to a new design.
Implementation of the correct version of the instrumentation parts (electronic devices, antennas, sensors, switches) in their correct position in the 3D environment. Checking the proper fitting in the environment (according to the technical solution) and making sure that all the compatibility and implementation rules are respected; Realization of "Interface Drawings" for the benefit of suppliers, which represented the definition of the technical solution for the interface between a certain component and its environment, with tolerances for the representative dimensions; Design of plastic supports for some of these parts, in order to ensure the compatibility with the environment.
Designer of the mechanical component of semi-automated measuring devices Design of the linking components between the motion sources, guiding systems and sensors which were included in the measuring devices. Specific constraints: high precision, high stability, minimization of overall dimensions and mass. Design of parts and assemblies; Examples: support tables and frames, mounting supports for sensors, gripping fingers, housings and shafts for bearings in mechanisms using rotation, connection elements between parts engaged in translation; Realization of execution drawings, with the specification of the tolerances for dimensions and special treatments of the parts.
