After working several years in hospitality in different countries apart from Europe and being an waiter an since 2005, I have decided to apply for the waiter position at Celebrity Cruises. I always wanted to assert myself not only in Romania but abroad too. I wanted to get to know various cultures, people with different nationality; I wanted to augment my professional knowledge, hence I applied for a waiter position at Louis Cruise Lines in 2004. I served in restaurants in different countries where I could improve my English language skills and my professional attainments as well. After working for the best 5 stars restaurants in my country, I decided to study the profession of hospitality management since I have always been interested in this trade. So I got into Bucharest where I worked in hospitality besides studying at Food & Beverage Art of Serving Institute. I considered the use of English language important in the course of my work search in Romania as well, that is why I took a position with various assignments at T.G.I. Friday’s then a position supporting the team based in the USA at the Intercontinental Hotel-Arad-Romania where I had to speak and write in English fluently to be able to do my daily work. The years spent working in hospitality were so decisive that I accepted a position offered by one of my friends in England (Quinn Hotels).Considering my experience in hospitality and guest related assignments in foreign countries I believe I could pull through as a waiter. I get along well both with my colleagues and guests. I am familiar with the rules and regulations a bord the cruise ships of Celebrity Cruises as many of my friends are working with and also with STAR philosophy, I am fast learning, well-organized, smily and patient which I believe make me the right candidate for the waiter position. My goal is to rich higher while being an employee of a workplace where I can maximize and improve my skills.
