Am facut o perioada de training de 10 luni in Danemarca, dupa care am fost plasata in Mozambic intr-un orfelinat. Am lucrat timp de 6 luni cu orfani cu varste intre 8 si 25 de ani. M-am ocupat de timpul lor liber, dupa ce veneau de la scoala: igiena, mese, sport, studii, plimbari in afara centrului. Pe langa asta m-am ocupat de biblioteca centrului. Pe langa cei 52 de copii care traiau in internat, trebuia sa controlez accesul la carti si pentru cei aprox. 400 de copii din comunitate care studiau la scoala de zi. Am facut cercuri de lectura, am predat engleza si matematica si am infiintat un club de creat bijuterii hand-made.
Am fost singurul fotograf al ziarului si al website-ului. Am facut munca de teren alaturi de reporteri, dar si fotoreportaje proprii. Responsabilitatiile mele au fost sa produc fotografii de calitate inalta cu mesaj potrivit materialelor. De asemenea m-am ocupat de arhiva foto a ziarului.
Ajutor de bucatar la un restaurant cu meniu Mediteranean. Preluam comenzi, pingredientele pentru bucatar (in prima luna), preparam mancarea (din a doua luna), inmanam mancarea gatita ospatarului. Am invatat sa fac sushi si sashimi si alte mancaruri exotice.
M-am ocupat cu mentinerea curatenii in camere ocupate de oaspeti,cat si curatenia camerei dupa ce acestia plecau. Schimbam lenjerii, stergeam praful, spalam geamurile, curatam baia, aspiram camera si coridoarele. De asemenea ma ocupam si cu spalatul lenjeriilor si prosoapelor.
The hostel manager position offers me a wide range of responsibilities. I am in charge of everything around the hostel: hostel system, managing booking engines,staff (currently a group of 4 people),maintenance, shopping etc.
I had a 4 months saving up money and 6 month studying in Denmark. After this time, i had my service period in Mozambique, Africa. I worked in an orphanage with orphans from ages 8 to 25. I was responsible for the children free time (after school). This means homework, personal hygiene, sports, meals and other activities. I was also in charge of the center's library. This meant I had to control who goes in and out, help the kids with choosing books, have lecture circles, painting and drawing club, teaching english etc.
I was the only photographer of the newspaper and the website. I was doing field work with the reporters and also photo reportages on my own. My responsibilities were to provide high quality, clear pictures with a meaningful message. I was also in charge of editing the photos and keeping a photo archive on the server.
I was in charge of taking the orders, prepare ingredients, cook the food and serve it to the waitress. Sometimes I was doing dish-washing in shifts with the other help. On some ocasions I helped preparing food in large quantities for weddings, parties etc. The menu was mediteranean, so I learned how to prepare sushi, sashimi and other exotic food.
In charge of the daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms(change linen, prepare bed, collect garbage, clean bathroom, change towels, vacuum the carpet, clean corridors etc.) Responsible for the linen, towels, and laundry for the guests. Responsible for the correct handling of housekeeping supplies, as well as all available equipment. I was also in charge of deep cleaning the room after the guests left, and prepare it for the next ones.
