Helping in the organization of different English language tests held through British Council Romania and acting as an invigilator or supervisor.
Administration of the lists of participants to different events: parties, plays, films (putting up the lists, making invitations, monitoring the confirmations, answering people’s inquiries or simply keeping in touch with them on any news or changes, arranging accommodation for them, refunding their transport expenses, welcoming them to the events) and offering financial support to the Arts Manager such as making payment vouchers, making claims for advance payment vouchers and for travel expenses based on invoices and receipts.
Registering clients for English language courses in Bucharest that follows the next steps: inputting new comers’ contact data into our data base (kept in SAP), verifying their level of English and the possibility of attending a course with the British Council based on the availability of places, solving along with the teachers the possible misunderstandings regarding the client’s level, selling student books, receiving the money either cash in lei or euro or by credit card, depositing them to the finance department along with the daily report, previously verified against the registrations, writing proformas for the bank transfer payments, writing invoices and receipts, counseling clients, answering their inquiries and complaints.
Presenting the services offered by the company in a most attractive manner (as part of a fair) so as to attract as many clients as possible.
Placing clients to English language courses in the U.K. through the British Council Romania Placement Service. Counseling and couching them during the whole process. Keeping in contact on a regular basis with the U.K. schools via e–mail, fax and phone and keeping them posted on any news regarding the evolution of the students’ applications. Preparing the documents for the visa officer as well as for the immigration officer. Doing all the office work including cashing and depositing the money, writing invoices, receipts and payment vouchers.
Answering phone calls and transferring them to the right person or department inside British Council, answering face-to-face inquiries about the different services offered by the organization (library, English language courses and exams, different projects), booking rooms for internal events, taking and distributing messages to colleagues, receiving and distributing the mail.
