-design and develop equipment and components for heavy machinery for construction industry; -generate and managed assembly layout, workshop drawings; generate Bill of Materials; FEM analysis; -designing and detailing standard and special attachments for wheel loaders using 3D design software Unigraphics SIEMENS PLM NX8.5 (linked with Teamcenter Engineering); -developing new product series aiming at improving performance and interchangeability thus reducing production lead times and costs; -assisting the test department in solving problems with products, building prototypes and test rigs; -assisting the production department in dealing with production issues, tooling design; -assisting the Development department with the internal verification, defining test specifications and analysing test results; -ensuring the design compliance with technical specifications, international and company standards.
Responsibilities: -design components of seismic, subsea and offshore steel constructions and machinery, lifting equipment, according DIN and NORSOK standards -develop new and rebuild existing equipment; testing new products -perform FEA calculation using specialized software and hand calculation; -preparing production documentation for all kind of steel construction parts, welded structures and mechanical components; -using design codes and standards to provide project documentation; -keeping in touch with clients, suppliers and subcontractors; -representing the company in meetings, trade fairs, exhibitions; -fulfills any additional tasks received from the department manager; Projects: - Gun deck equipment - Subsea baskets - Steel constructions (storage frames, racks and towing blocks) -other lifting, handling and rope guiding equipment
