Project: JAZAN REFINERY IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined-Cycle) Contractor: SAUDI ARAMCO As a Mechanical Engineer / Supervisor my responsibilities are: ▪ Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from vendors, sub-contractors, and processing documentation as required order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications; ▪ Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries and tools; ▪ Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions; ▪ Ensure that sub-contractors adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP's, Procedures and Site Instruction; ▪ Managing the sub-contractors and ensure that they complete the tasks on time and safely; ▪ Allocate work and completion in accordance with the monitoring system; ▪ Handle all aspects of Mechanical Construction activities including site investigations, site surveys, etc.; ▪ Maintain a daily progress report noting special comments. Reports work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions; ▪ Sign work permits and to ensure that contractors compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits; ▪ Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation; ▪ Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to Contractor by paying special attention to all equipment including Quality checks; ▪ Works closely with other Construction Supervisors (Civ. / Str. / Elect. / Instrument); ▪ Solve problems and prevent accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing safety standards on the work site; ▪ Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.
As a Rotating Equipment Engineer my responsibilities were: ▪ Basic, front-end and detail engineering activities (Material Requisition, Mechanical Data Sheets, Supply Specifications, inspections Data Sheets, etc), for different rotating equipment according to process and project specifications, applicable Standards and Client requirements; ▪ Participation in the definition of battery limits and interfaces; ▪ P&ID mechanization; ▪ Prepare material take-off to support construction cost estimate; ▪ Review technical proposal from Vendor; ▪ Interface between vendors and the rest of the technical departments; ▪ Vendor's follow-up; ▪ Technical clarification and negotiation with equipment Suppliers; ▪ Technical meetings with Vendors; ▪ Provide support for expediting and testing activities; ▪ Verification of received documents from vendors as to meet project requirements and applicable standards; ▪ Prepares technical evaluation and technical tabulation for vendor technical alignment; ▪ Manage, summarize and/or prepare final lists necessary to other departments (electrical consumption, lubricants, utilities, spare parts list, etc) and final reports; ▪ Kick-off Meeting with Suppliers, Project team and the Client; ▪ Assist construction activity providing technical support;• Taking part in site supervision, inspection, testing and quality controls if needed.

As a Power Plant Process Engineer my responsibilities were: ▪ Developing Bid Tender Documents for main equipment (steam turbine and auxiliary equipment, steam boiler, feed water pumps); ▪ Developing Bid Technical Evaluation of Vendors Offers; ▪ Developing Bid Tender Documents for EPC Contractor selection; ▪ Analysing and devising project data for feasibilities studies; ▪ Developing technical projects; ▪ Developing technical reports; ▪ Developing plot plans; ▪ Developing equipment data sheets; ▪ Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); ▪ Process Flow Diagrams (PFD); ▪ Developing Tender Documents; ▪ Providing technical assistance on site and surveying the behaviour of the designed operating equipment's; ▪ Material choosing and sizing calculations based on parameters: temperature, pressure and flow; ▪ Developing Operating Manuals. As a Piping Engineer my responsibilities were: ▪ Creating a 3D model for the plant (equipment's and piping lines) using the equipment's data sheets, equipment layout drawings, P&ID and piping classes (using Catia V5); ▪ Developing General Arrangement and detail drawings (using AutoCAD); ▪ Extraction of 2D piping GA drawings and Details annotations through Catia V5 Drafting; ▪ Isometric drawings (using AutoCAD and/or Isogen); ▪ Bill of materials, Valve list, Support list and Line list; ▪ Review sessions including ergonomic and clash tests on the 3D models; ▪ Pipe surveys; ▪ Technical reports.
